At Healthwise, we strive to make sure scheduling your appointments is as simple and efficient as possible. Our intake staff is ready to assist you in finding a provider that best suits your needs and offer answers to any questions you may have about your visit.

How do I schedule my appointments?

Appointments may be scheduled by calling our main number, 763.400.7828 or via email at info@healthwisepsychology.com.

When is the soonest I can be seen?

We can generally schedule a new patient appointment within one to two weeks of your initial request.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please bring your health insurance card and the completed intake forms. If you are unable to complete the forms before your appointment, please arrive 20 minutes early to complete them prior to your scheduled appointment time. Please click HERE for the intake forms.

How long are the appointments?

Appointments are between 45-60 minutes.

Do I need a referral from a physician to schedule with a provider?

No, you do not need a referral for services.

Do you offer medication management?

Yes, Healthwise offers in-house medication management services by Board-Certified Nurse Practitioners.

Can I bring my children with me to my appointment?

Any child under the age of 10 needs to be accompanied by an adult in our waiting area.

Can I attend my child's session with them?

Yes, participation from the parent(s) is vital. A parent or guardian will need to be present at the initial intake appointment and be available for check-ins with the child’s therapist on an on-going basis as requested by the therapist.

What are the financial responsibilities for divorced parents?

Financial agreements between divorced parents are handled independently of Healthwise. Court orders may allocate responsibility for a child’s health care expenses to one parent or another. However, our mental health providers are not bound by the terms of such court orders. Co-pays are due on the day of an appointment regardless of who brings the child.

What is the appointment cancellation policy?

We require 24-hour notice for appointment cancellations. If you do not provide at least 24 hour notice to cancel your appointment, you will be billed a fee of $50. If you do not show for your scheduled appointment, you will be billed a fee of $85. Please note insurance does not cover missed appointments.
